I must read this again. There’s something in observation of rubbish 90s era writing for young adults that affected me - that still affects me to this day. I never learned to read until I was 17. I was told I couldn’t but I always knew it was more that I just…didn’t. Because I couldn’t find anything I wanted to put the effort in.
